Our current rare earth mineral interests
Rechargeable batteries for mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras and electric vehicles. Lithium is also used in some non-rechargeable batteries for things like heart pacemakers, toys and clocks.
Jewellery, Tableware, Batteries
It is used for jewellery and silver tableware, where appearance is important. Silver is used to make mirrors, as it is the best reflector of visible light known, although it does tarnish with time.
Thermal & Electro
Most copper is used in electrical equipment such as wiring and motors. This is because it conducts both heat and electricity very well and can be drawn into wires.
Jewellery, Finances, Electronics
Gold is extremely malleable, conducts electricity, doesn’t tarnish, alloys well with other metals and is easy to work into wires or sheets. Not to mention, gold is unrivaled in its natural brilliant luster and glossy shine.
Alloys, Batteries, Coins
More than 80% of nickel is used to make alloys, as nickel adds toughness, strength, rust resistance and various other electrical, magnetic and heat resistant properties.
